The Association has been active in Melbourne, Australia, since the early 1990s. Founded initially as a means to bring work and family awareness to small business through employer organisations, it has evolved as primary point of contact on work/life matters able to meet the diverse needs of organisations both large and small across all industry sectors.

The Association is managed by a small honorary committee of academics and work/life consultants all dedicated to improving organisations through better understanding of the work/life needs of the workforce.
